Venturing Into New Terrain!!!!
Willie McBride and I are thrilled about our new business venture, Animal Athletics, which we will be launching Tuesday May 1, 2012. Our business is a unique combination of group training and guided trips to the Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood National Forest. The website is coming soon and will shed light on all that we are (this is no run-of-the-mill training/guide service!!!).
Until then, in the month of April, we will be offering our group training free of charge to show people a little more of what we're about.
These free hour-long training sessions will take place in the amphitheater in the International Test Rose Garden in Washington Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-8 a.m., and on Saturday April 7th and 21st from 9-10 a.m. (Saturday sessions are followed by complimentary bagels and coffee).
Sessions will include a short warm-up, a 2-mile trail run (1-mile option also available), followed by a running-specific bootcamp workout and cool-down.
***These events are RAIN or SHINE so please bring appropriate gear (i.e. hats, gloves, rain jackets, etc.). Whatever the weather is... join us....and be an animal!
